![]() Amira starts with "A." At least that's what I hear the adults in my life say when they sing "Patty Cake." Now where is that "A"? I'll find it eventually. I just got my own iSpy blanket and I'm loving it. It has so many interesting patterns and textures and I can play with it while I'm stuck in my car seat. Do you know what else I love about my blanket? It helps the Nurse Family Partnership which is a charity that helps babies and their families get a good start. Check out the iSpy blankets in the baby gift section of our Etsy Shop. (Here's a hint Amira. If you are stilll searching for the letter "A", look to your left.)

![]() My ears may be plastic, but I still hate it when they get cold. Need a hat to protect your sensitive ears? Visit our Etsy Shop and check out our collection. Depending on the hat you choose, the sale of our hats will support the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or the Nurse Family Partnership, both good causes. ![]() There you are taking your brisk walk or killing it on the stationary bike in the gym, propelled along by your favorite workout tunes, and then your earbud falls out. I would imagine that is aggravating. I can't speak from personal experience because I'm just a manequin head. I have no body, so I can't workout. As a human attempting to stay in shape, however, you may have encountered this problem. If you have, consider getting yourself a sports headband from "A Cause for Crafting." Wear the band so it covers your ears and tuck the earbuds into your ears underneath the band. The earbuds will stay in place and you'll be set to go. The band I'm currently modeling is a gray butterfly sports headband. The purchase of one of these headbands benefits the National Brain Tumor Society, a highly ranked charity engaged in the fight against brain cancer. There are other's to choose from, so take a look in our Etsy Shop and then prepare to get in shape. ![]() Amira has been working hard on her tummy time and her motor skills. She likes the fact that the 12 soft segments of her clutch ball are just the right size for her hand to grasp. It's soft and securely sewn so she doesn't have to worry about mishaps as she learns to toss this thing back to Daddy. She also likes knowing that twelve dollars from the purchase of each ball will be sent to the Family Shelter to help babies less fortunate than her. Know a little one who would enjoy a clutch ball? Go to our Etsy shop to see what we have to offer. ![]() Okay, I will resist launching into mannequin jokes. We do find our new addition, a plastic mannequin head, however, to be very useful. As I have attempted to display and photograph the crafts at A Cause for Crafting I have come to appreciate the art of photography. Doing the crafts justice isn't as easy as it seems. Here our new mannequin is displaying the most recent addition to our website, curly scarves. They make a wonderful accent piece for a plain outfit. They also have a very fun soft, yet stretchy kind of feel. Great to fidget with during a boring meeting. The money generated from the sale of these scarves will be donated to the Barbara Bush Family Literacy Fund. Check out our new mannequin and our Etsy store as we continue to grow during the new year. |
